Despite these incredible capabilities, generations of women have been given constant misinformation about their bodies—inspiring many of us to live in shame and fear rather than giving our bodies the love and awe they deserve.
The very functions that make the female body so amazing have been systematically pathologized and medicalized. Modern healthcare systems focus on what can go wrong with our bodies—directing our energy toward fearing disease rather than creating health. And, far too often, we blindly surrender our power to doctors and scientists—mistakenly believing that they’re the experts (not us!).
